Hello, September! As we enter a new season, we can’t help but get excited for pumpkin picking, apple cider, and all the fall events happening on Pratt Street this year. This fall is going to be extra special because we have a handful of new businesses opening! Get ready for more reasons to love Downtown Hartford. This is your guide to fall events on Pratt Street.
September Events
We’re kicking off the season strong with an epic line-up of live musical performances, family-friendly activities, pop-up shops, and so much more.
Pratt Street Sounds—Every Week
Our Pratt Street music series continues this month with live performances from local Connecticut artists. Enjoy a range of genres from rap, jazz, R&B, and more as you stroll, dine, and shop on Pratt Street. Performances start at 6:00pm and end at 7:30pm. View the September line-up of musicians here. Pregame on Pratt—Now through September 11th
Meet us on Pratt Street as we celebrate the end of the Hartford Yard Goat’s impressive season. From Wednesday, September 7th to Sunday, September 11, the Hartford Yard Goats are playing back-to-back home games against the Somerset Patriots. Join us before every game for pregame food and drink specials from Sunberry Restaurant and Bar, Vaughan’s Irish Pub, El Poeta de los Sandwiches, and Sorella! We’re just minutes away from the Dunkin’ Donuts Stadium and the perfect place to start for game-day festivities.
Bloom Bake Shop Ribbon Cutting—Friday, September 9th at 1:00pm
Love coffee and freshly baked goods? Join us on Friday, September 9th at 1:00pm for the official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of Bloom Bake Shop. This woman-owned and family-operated bakery specializes in gourmet baked goods such as cookies, cupcakes, croissants, and more. They also serve coffee, small bites, and have fresh bouquets of flowers available. Get your pumpkin goodies this season at Bloom Bake Shop!
Hartford.com Pratt Street Salsa Social—September 9th from 5:00pm–10:00pm
The beloved Hartford.com Pratt Street Salsa Social is back—this time, it’s better than ever before! Break out your dancing shoes for an afternoon of dancing, music, and fun as we bid farewell to summer and get ready for fall. Everyone is welcome to join, no matter the experience! Meet us on Pratt on for the last Salsa Social of the year on Friday, September 9 from 5:00pm–8:00pm, and don’t forget to stick around for our Salsa Social After Party from 8:00pm–10:00pm. You can continue dancing to our live salsa band, Mario Pueblo y los Sabrosos de la Salsa, and enjoy food and drink specials from our Pratt Street eateries. This event is free and open to the public.
Hartford Pride—Saturday, September 10th from 12:00pm–6:00pm
Hartford Pride is coming to Downtown Hartford on Saturday, September 10th from 12:00pm-6:00pm. The annual Hartford Pride Fest and Concert is a family-centered event showcasing entertainment, food, local businesses, giveaways, activities, and numerous community organizations. Showcase your pride and support of the LGBTQIA+ community and spend the day in Downtown Hartford as we dance, sing, and party all day long.
Pride on Pratt—Saturday, September 16th from 8:00pm–11:00pm
The pride festivities continue as we welcome the fabulous drag queens of Sky Casper Entertainment. Meet us on Pratt Street for a free show featuring drag sensations Kenya Mone Heart, Miss Rozzz, and Amethyst, with beats by Lady Tita! The first 100 attendees will receive a FREE Pride on Pratt t-shirt. There will be food and drink specials available as well as dozens of talented LGBTQIA+ vendors to shop from. Pratturday—Saturday, September 17th and Saturday, September 24th
Start your weekend off on the right foot and join us on Pratt Street for Pratturday! Grab your family and friends and meet us for drinks, dancing, and delicious food specials from all of your favorite Pratt Street restaurants, featuring live tunes spun by DJ 10Four and DJ B-EZ! October Events
Eversource Hartford Marathon Pre-Race Party on Pratt—Thursday, October 6th from 4:00pm–8:00pm
The Eversource Hartford Marathon returns to Downtown Hartford on Saturday, October 8th. There’s no better way to pump up for the race than with a pre-race block party on Pratt Street! Join us Thursday, October 6th for live music by The Mancini’s, family-friendly games, and specials from all of your favorite Pratt restaurants. Racers who pick up their bibs from the XL Center and show them at one of our restaurants will get a free drink on us!
Join us on race day and grab a cup of coffee to fuel your run from Shop Two Coffee, a local coffee cart that will be on the corner of Pratt Street and Trumbull. Our Pratt Street eateries will have food and drink specials all day for your to fuel your body before and after the race.
Puppy Hour—Wednesday, October 5th, and Wednesday, October 19th
Calling all dog owners (and dog lovers)! Meet us on Pratt Street on October 5th and October 19th from 5:00pm–7:00pm for puppy hour. This social event is perfect for puppies and pooches of all ages. Enjoy food and drink specials while your dog socializes and makes new friends. We will have free goodies and water available as well as a handful of local dog vendors to shop from. Get homemade treats, dog accessories, and more, only at Puppy Hour! RSVP to this free event here.
Dance ‘till you Die on Pratt—Saturday, October 28th from 8:00pm-11:00pm
Calling all witches, warlocks, and gremlins… Pratt Street is the place to be for spooky season. Get ready to dance the night away at our costume dance party on Saturday, October 28th! We invite you to put on your scariest, most unique Halloween costume as DJ10Four spins tunes all night long. We will have custom glow-in-the-dark goodies to giveaway as well as a costume contest for the most unique costume. Food and drink specials will be provided by our Pratt Street restaurants, so come hungry (and thirsty for blood or bloody marys).
