A Restored Pratt Street
Through improved and restored retail storefronts, renovated residential spaces, and curated programming, Pratt St is being rediscovered.
The leaves are changing, the air is crisp, and Pratt Street is bustling! Hartford offers many fun activities this time of year, but we are heading straight to Pratt and telling you about everything happening on our favorite street.
October 6th
Gentle Bull has officially moved into their new space across the street at 45 Pratt. To celebrate, they are hosting a full day of activities this Friday. From 10:00am–11:00am there will be yoga with After Glow Studio. Flash tattoos by Jose will be offered from 12:00pm–6:00pm. An inviting outdoor lounge will be set up by The Picnic Project. From 3:00pm–8:00pm, an outdoor street market will feature a fantastic collection of vendors. We are so excited to celebrate their big move!
October 11th and 25th
The last two puppy hours of the year will be October 11th and the 25th! Both from 5:00pm–7:00pm, you can bring your pup and enjoy the beautiful weather. Enjoy food and drink specials, treats and water, local vendors with goodies for your furry friend, freebies, and more. October 25th is extra special—dress up your furry friend for our Puppy Halloween Costume Contest for the chance to win the grand prize! You don’t want to miss the last puppy hour of the year!
October 13th
Hartford Prints! is one of our favorite shops for cards and gifts, and they are a Pratt Street Original. Friday night, from 5:00pm–9:00pm they will be hosting a night market filled with amazing creative vendors such as Ally Bea Boutique, cinder + salt, Outbound Candle Co., and Studio T Ceramics. For a full list, visit the event’s Facebook page. A DJ will be performing for the event, and we recommend hanging out for a chance to win some amazing giveaways! You’ll also have the chance to create your own print on The Hartford Press Co-op (HPC)’s portable printing press. Your $10 donation will help HPC secure a permanent space. During this event, Sunberry will have a live musical performance starting at 8:00pm and Vaughan’s will be grilling and chilling on the street.
October 21st and October 28th
The Bizarre Bazaar will take over Pratt Street for Saturdays in October. On the 21st and 28th from 12:00pm–4:00pm, you can expect the street to be filled with live music and Halloween-themed vendors and artists. The annual fair is hosted by the Hartford BID. This event is perfect for the whole family! Featured vendors include Psychic Readings By Delilah, Mindbrakes Wellness, Pixel Paragon, Future Days Art, The Happy Dead, The Cottage Witch, Cabin Weeks Project, and Wandering Gypsy Pics. October 28th
Join us on Pratt Street for some early trick-or-treating! Come dressed in your costume and grab a Pratt Street-branded tote bag. Walk from shop to shop to collect candy and goodies from 12:00pm–4:00pm. We’ll be handing out prizes for the Best-Dressed Adult and Kiddo! This event occurs simultaneously with the Bizarre Bazaar, so we encourage some double dipping!
