Hartford Flavor Company is already a Hartford community favorite. The craft distillery is located at 30 Arbor Street and offers a beautiful and tasty collection of uniquely flavored natural liqueurs. Soon their operation will expand and offer a cocktail parlor on 54 Pratt Street!
We were lucky enough to chat about this exciting endeavor with Lelaneia Dubay, Creatrix and Hartford Flavor Company’s CEO. Read on to hear what she has to say!
Q: Tell us about Hartford Flavor–for those that do not know, when did you start, and what do you make?
A: We are a woman-owned, organic certified, garden-to-glass distillery making all-natural botanically infused vodkas and liqueurs. We established the distillery in the Parkville section of Hartford in 2014.
Q: What makes your liqueurs stand out?
A: Our liqueurs and vodkas are organic and 100% all-natural. We are taking the real plant material and preserving it in organic sugar cane alcohol to extract the spirit of the plant. Hartford Flavor is out to revolutionize how we add flavor to our world and bring back the ritual of a good cocktail.
Q: We are so excited to welcome you to Pratt Street. What are you looking forward to when you are part of the Pratt Street community?
A: We are very much looking forward to opening our flagship branded Hartford Flavor Cocktail Parlour on Pratt Street this summer. I am most looking forward to the feeling of community with the other business owners and creating a vital and influential beating heart center to Hartford. I am also excited to help create a tourism destination both regionally and nationally.
Q: Can you describe the future cocktail parlor to us? What can visitors expect?
A: Hartford Flavor Cocktail Parlour will be a swanky, 1930s meets 1970’s branded cocktail lounge and eatery. We will focus on Hartford Flavor Vodka and Wild Moon Liqueurs cocktails and farm-to-table food. Clean eating and clean drinking in a beautiful environment. Patrons can expect several different spaces: a bar and lounge, a formal dining room, a private dining room for 30 to 35 people, and a board game parlour with a lounge and fireplace. In addition, we hope to have different events, including chef dinners with cocktail pairings, high tea, brunch, game tournaments, and various education evenings. Creative cocktails, light bites, beautiful dinners focusing on vegan and healthy eating, and sophisticated desserts and nightcaps will complete the offerings.
Q: Our mouths are watering! When do you expect to open?
A: We are hoping to open in early summer for dinners and will open for lunch as well in the autumn. We are collecting names and email addresses for a contest to win reservations for the opening week, with the grand prize being dinner for 4. Go to Hartfordflavor.com and join our email list to enter.
