New Business Feature: Rundown Hartford

Pratt Street is thrilled to announce its newest business—Rundown Hartford, a specialty sneaker and fashion shop that has another location in Bridgeport. We sat down with Christian Scott, owner of Rundown, to learn more about what his business offers.

Q: Tell us about Rundown!

A: “Rundown started in a basement, so to speak. What began simply as a passion for sneakers and fashion blossomed into who we are today. We staff 16 employees between both our Hartford and Bridgeport locations and are currently looking to expand. We specialize in the secondary market pertaining to all niche fashion items such as sneakers, clothing, handbags, accessories, and art. We are really excited for this Hartford transition!”

Q: Why did you choose Hartford as your second location?

A: “Being from Connecticut, we felt it only necessary to expand within Connecticut before venturing outward. We cater to our people and providing this extra location in-state not only reinforces our brand but secures Connecticut as a location that provides such items without having to travel out of state. We’ve always received so much love from Hartford from those who have traveled to our Bridgeport location prior to this move; we wanted to make things a bit easier for our loyal clientele.”

Q: What is special about Pratt Street to you?

A: “Pratt Street has so much to offer. Be it the aesthetic and overall kindness from those who currently help with our transition, we see a lot of potential on Pratt. Being that we are near a couple of college campuses as well as the XL Center, we expect to target our market audience by the thousands with ease. Pratt Street is great and we hope that our success sheds light on this street and provides growth for businesses willing to take a chance on opening a physical location.”

Q: Do you have any upcoming events or promotions?

A: “As we gauge our Grand Opening date, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting a ribbon-cutting with the Mayor and all key investors associated with The Chamber of Commerce. Upon settling in, we hope to host many events on Pratt Street, as we pride ourselves in giving back and engaging with the community.”

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share with the Hartford community?

A: “Overall, we expect big things from our Hartford location as this is just the beginning. We look forward to welcoming all who come into the shop in the same way we have been welcomed with open arms by our neighbors, Northland, and the Hartford community.”
