A Restored Pratt Street
Through improved and restored retail storefronts, renovated residential spaces, and curated programming, Pratt St is being rediscovered.
Fall is in full swing in Hartford, and the city’s restaurants and cafes are updating their menus to reflect the changing season. Whether you’re into pumpkin spice lattes or apple-flavored baked goods, there are so many local options to enjoy your favorite fall flavors.
Here are a few of the seasonal drinks and treats we’ll be enjoying this autumn in Hartford:
Seasonal Varieties from Capital Spirits
Everyone’s favorite Hartford liquor store is fully stocked with fall varieties from numerous breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Stop by Capital Spirits for crisp, hard ciders, fun, spooky brews from craft breweries, and seasonal liqueurs to add to your bar cart this fall.
Chaider from Blue State Coffee
Around the corner and a block away from Pratt Street, Blue State Coffee is serving up this spice-filled combo of chai and apple cider. Pair it with one of their pumpkin scones, pictured at the top of this article, for a full-fledged, fall-themed snack break.
Multiple Fall Cocktails from Trumbull Kitchen
Trumbull Kitchen, located just a stone’s throw from Pratt Street, has a seasonal drink list with seven specialty cocktails for the autumn season. We love the Moonshine Sangria made with red wine, seasonal pomegranate, and apple pie moonshine from Full Moonshine up in Canton. The only thing better than supporting one local business is supporting two!
Brown Butter Apple Crisp Cheesecake from Aurora’s Restaurant
On Capitol Ave, Aurora’s Restaurant has crafted a delicious, seasonal dessert that will have you swooning. The decadent brown butter apple crisp cheesecake is perfectly portioned with a handheld design that is ideal for snacking on while exploring our city.
Multiple Fall Drinks from Story and Soil Coffee
If you’re looking for a pick-me-up after enjoying the apple cheesecake goodness at Aurora’s, just walk a few doors down to Story and Soil. Their fall menu is full of hot and cold options for your seasonal java fix, plus non-coffee options like the Darjeeling Limited: a chai and grapefruit soda garnished with lime.
Festbier from City Steam Brewery
Festbier is the newest brew from our neighbors at City Steam Brewery. With its nutty malt aroma, hearty flavors, and golden yellow color, the beer is perfect when paired with a crisp autumn night.
