A Restored Pratt Street
Through improved and restored retail storefronts, renovated residential spaces, and curated programming, Pratt St is being rediscovered.
Hartford Pride is the largest family-friendly pride celebration in Connecticut. This weekend, on September 9th and 10th, there are all kinds of events and activities so that you can partake in the festivities, and we’re here to give you the rundown. All of the Hartford Pride events taking place over the weekend are free and open to the public.
Beginning Saturday at noon, Hartford Pride Fest & Concert kicks off on Church Street! Come see local drag performers, and national acts such as CeCe Peniston, Thelma Houston, and Wille Gomez. For more information, visit hartfordpride.org.
Can’t make it Saturday afternoon, or just can’t stop celebrating? The fun continues at the Hartford Pride After Party on Pratt, starting at 8:00pm and ending at midnight. There will be performances by local singers and fabulous drag queens, beats by DJ Robo, and an exclusive performance by Willie Gomez! If you are one of the first 100 attendees, you’ll receive a free Pride on Pratt t-shirt. Tito’s drink specials will be featured at Pratt Street bars and restaurants, with proceeds benefiting Hartford Pride. Don’t forget to bring cash to tip the drag queens, and get ready to dance the night away!
Make your patio reservations now! Pride on Pratt continues on Sunday as part of Sky Casper’s live singing and comedic Pink Eggs & Glam Drag Brunch show. We recommend arriving at noon, prior to Patty Bourree and Pissi Myles’ live outdoor drag performances from 1:00pm–2:00pm. Their show will be followed by a Tea Dance with DJ Edgewood from 2:00pm–5:00pm. You can show your support by stopping by the popup market hosted by Gentle Bull Shop, which will be filled with all your favorite LGBTQ+ vendors at their new shop location at 45 Pratt Street.
