A Restored Pratt Street
Through improved and restored retail storefronts, renovated residential spaces, and curated programming, Pratt St is being rediscovered.
We are thrilled to announce Sunberry Restaurant and Bar’s reopening! This family establishment has been an integral part of Pratt Street for over 10 years. We’ve talked about the owner John and his restaurant’s story in the past, but today we are talking about the future and it is looking beautiful! Sunberry Restaurant and Bar has gone through extensive renovations and is open for business!
One thing we know for sure is that the food we know and love will continue to be served, but now it will be in a whole new light. If you are walking down Pratt Street on a beautiful spring or summer day, you might see the new accordion windows open and folks dining on the patio. This is one pandemic trend we are happy to see stick. Who doesn’t enjoy an outdoor happy hour?
Cocktails, beers, and of course saki! Sunberry now has a full bar. The most notable feature as you walk through the door is their stunning new all-wood bar. The bar feels warm and inviting but sophisticated—a perfect date night spot. A few of our favorite cocktails are the Passionfruit Refresher, Lychee Blossom, Suntory Manhattan, Yuzu Lemon Drop, Cucumber Mojito, and the Strawberry Daiquiri.
After 10 years on the street, customers certainly have their favorite meals. Some of their most popular dishes include the Korean Fried Chicken, the ramen, and bibimbap. New additions that we highly recommend are sharing the Shabu-Shabu (Hot-Pot) for an experiential dining experience, and the Hinoki Steamed Box, which is served in homemade pieces of art from South Korea.
Sunberry is open from 11:30am–12:00am, with the kitchen closing at 10:00pm. Share your dishes and excitement on social media and be sure to tag @sunberryhartford and @prattstreethartford!
