A Restored Pratt Street
Through improved and restored retail storefronts, renovated residential spaces, and curated programming, Pratt St is being rediscovered.
Downtown Hartford is gearing up for the holiday season with the city’s first-ever open-air outdoor holiday market featuring 55 local artisans that will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from Nov. 26 through Dec. 18.
The market called the Pratt Street Winter Village – which will also include 16 live performances along with numerous activities and demonstrations – is being hosted by The Pratt Street Historic District and Shelbourne Global Solutions, Hartford’s largest downtown landlord. The Hartford is the chief sponsor, while other sponsors include AllWaste, Nassau Financial Group, The Hartford Chamber of Commerce, and Launc[H] Hartford.
Each day of the outdoor holiday market, participants can shop from 10 on-site vendors while also take in special events and live musical performances. Several Pratt Street businesses will be taking part in the market, including Urban Lodge Brewing, which is hosting a pop-up beer garden.
The Pratt Street Winter Village is one of several holiday-themed events taking place in the Capital City this holiday season.
In addition, Hartford Glow kicks off Nov. 25 and runs through Jan. 1 at the Connecticut Convention Center, where the space will be transformed into a Christmas-themed exhibit with light structures. Hartford Glow, organizers said, will also have a Christmas market, live entertainment, a scavenger hunt for children and food options, among others.
